This is a mini matchstriker thrown on the potter's wheel. The clay is a brownish-reddish stoneware clay. The inside is glazed with a glossy white glaze and the outside is left bare.
You can strike the matches on the outside of the container to light your candles, etc. The matches are included - they are "strike anywhere" matches.
