This shimmery vase was made by hand out of a light-colored porcelain clay. The inside and outside are glazed in a glossy white glaze. After the glaze fire, I apply a mother of pearl overglaze luster and then it goes it for a third firing.
Note: mother-of-pearl is really hard to photograph, so please know that it may look slightly different in the lighting in your house and dependent on the time of day.
