This vase / planter was made on the potter's wheel. Then it is hand-brushed with raku glazes and fired in the raku style. Raku is a type of low-firing process that was inspired by traditional Japanese raku firing. This is a one-a-kind piece. The raku firing process is very volatile and the results will be different every time, even with the same pieces, glazes, etc.
Note: they might still totally smell like a campfire when you get them!
Approximate dimensions:
2.75 inch (opening diameter)
5.5 inches tall
IMPORTANT NOTE: This glaze / firing technique is not food safe.
A note about shipping: I know it is pricey, but ceramic items are heavy (this vase weighs in at around 20 oz + packaging materials to keep it safe in transit and it's at least 2 lbs. when it's all said and done. Thanks for your understanding!
